AUC Takes Home The Three-peat At UCSRN Tournament 2017

On Saturday, April 23, AUC won the annual University College Student Representatives of the Netherlands (UCSRN) Tournament for the third time in a row. Different university colleges battled each other in sports, arts, and academic events. AUC took home the victory with a score of 109.5 points, 28 points ahead of runner-up Erasmus University College (EUC).

Hard work pays off: SlayUC’s road to the UCSRN Tournament 2017

On Saturday, April 22, dancers took center stage at Café Oerknal in Science Park to compete at the annual University College Student Representatives the Netherlands (UCSRN) Tournament. This year’s UCSRN dance competition drew teams of six dancers representing seven university colleges. The pressure was on for SlayUC, the dance team representing host university AUC, which has won the dance competition consecutively since 2015. Four dancers of SlayUC would be competing for the first time and two dancers would have their final opportunity to represent AUC before they graduate.

Will AUC three-peat at this year’s UCSRN tournament?

On April 22, all Dutch University Colleges will come together in the beautiful city of Amsterdam with the goal of taking home the grand prize in this year’s UCSRN tournament. To win the trophy, they will compete in disciplines ranging from conventional team sports to baking or chess. The stakes are high:Will AUC be able to win for the third time in a row? The Herring talked to three participants about their experience of the lead-up up to the big day.
